Philotheos

How I love this hymn, 🎶What a Friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear,All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.🎶

God isn't just my Father, He is not there to only provide for me and answer my prayers. He loves hearing from and talking to me.

Philotheos means a lover or friend of God. I learned friendship in its best form from having a relationship with God.

Isaiah 55:8(kjv)" For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD". God is God and His way of friendship is not the same as ours, but also knowing this has taught me that each one of my friends is unique and I should learn how to be the friend they need and not what or how I want.

John 15:14-15, Jesus speaks "Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you." so He demands obedience and simultaneously calls us friend! Wow.

Play this out you just found out the best thing I'm sure you want to tell your bestie, but this will only impact him or her positively if he or she does as you say. I'm sure you'll be happier if that friend complies and you see them enjoy the benefits of their obedience. There's a whole package of salvation, from eternity, and healing, to peace, joy, true riches and so much more but our enjoyment is a fruit of our obedience.

I love David’s story. There is this one time that Nathan the Prophet was talking with David in 2 Samuel 7. David was describing how he felt like he had a nicer home than God. Nathan’s response was for David to do all that was in his heart. The very same night God came to Nathan and told him how the plan would be a little different. God dialogued, through Nathan, with David about the desires in his heart. They dialogued together!

When we delight ourselves in God, He promises to give us the desires of our hearts. We are invited to hope in Him and with Him. The prerequisite for getting the desires of our heart must be the delighting in Him. Not just singing some songs on a Sunday or going to a bible study on a Wednesday but delighting. Making time for. Desiring to be around. Wanting to please. Look at the lives of those whom God called His friends, they all had the desire to please God and obeyed God.

To maintain this relationship learn to show up on time when you book an appointment with God, a date. Set a time and show up, and also desire to know Him and please Him, prayer is a form of communication you can not be friends with a person and not speak to that person, remember to also listen. Then by studying your Bible, you learn the love languages of God, and He also speaks through the word.
You cannot fully express love without sacrifice. A lesson from Abraham's life Genesis 26:4-5(kjv)
"And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws."

John 3:16(kjv)" For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" Giving is sacrificial and it's an act of love.
Before Adam ate the apple and man fell, he had this relationship with God and this friendship.
Genesis 3:8(kjv) "And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day..." notice Adam was not surprised like "Oh what's God doing here?" it was usual and then because of sin man lost that friendship but by the blood of Jesus we have been reconciled.

Isaiah 45:3, 4(AMP) "And I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that it is I, the Lord, the God of Israel, Who calls you by your name. For the sake of Jacob My servant, and of Israel My chosen, I have called you by your name. I have surnamed you, though you have not known Me" and vs 5(NIV)"I am the Lord, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not acknowledged me"
we can see that God wants a relationship with us, see how much He promised to do because of His relationship with Jacob! Even though Cryus knew Him not.

Dear friend, there's so much and I want you to enjoy all of it.
I love you, cheers to growth and a happier life.🎨

BUT...

But...  ‭‭Ecclesiastes 10:1 NLT‬ "As dead flies cause even a bottle of perfume to stink, so a little foolishness spoils great wisdom and honor." Some time ago, I watched a video about what happens when flies land on your food. It left me feeling irritated, and I couldn't bring myself to watch until the end. As little as a fly is and as insignificant as it may seem, it can cause an expensive and exquisite bottle of perfume to stink thus rendering it useless. Similarly the presence of a but. In today's episode the but is CHARACTER. You see many people are good-looking, intelligent, gifted, talented, the list goes on "but" bankrupt of character.  These qualities and abilities are amazing however many people have had all of these and still failed, why? Bankruptcy of character! In the words of Pastor Prince" The hallmark of greatness is humility and simplicity"   Let's learn from the lives of these people, In the book of Esther, the Bib...

/WÁ/ Come

"And he said, Come... "  Welcome to the last month of year '23.  Long story, here's a background. After healing the sick and feeding 5000 men besides women and children with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes, Jesus then sent His disciples away to go before him and also the multitude. He then goes up into the mountainside to pray alone, till night. Remember that He sent them away earlier so the ship was a considerable distance from the land.  Shortly before dawn, he goes to them casually strolling on water, before he came along, their ship was already experiencing some turbulence being tossed with waves ."When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear."  I'm sure they were confident it was the ghost that was causing them all that trouble, Jesus reassures them it is indeed Him. Peter then goes on to say, Matt 14:28"...Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water...

Glory to God!  A penny for your responses on how your year has been?  I  have been unlearning and re-learning a lot.  I know this year a lot escalated however, please try not to complain about the state of things, why? Because it won't change anything and the more you speak of it the more your subconscious registers it as your reality.  Remember that you're not ordinary, If ordinary people can walk through life every day with little or no challenges, why should you experience difficulty?  You are a mirroring image of God. 1 Pet‬ ‭2:9‬ ‭AMP‬‬ "[ But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a consecrated nation, a [special] people for God’s possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies [the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections] of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light." You have a lot of potential within you; one step, then the next. You've got this You've tried everything, try Jesus. Return to the Word of Go...
